The Vermont Collection

I went on a ski trip last month with the Lancaster Ski Club, and as a non-skier, I used it as an opportunity to paint. I spent hours each day painting while the group skied. It felt like a big exhale, letting myself be messy, experiment, and take in the views and the ski culture.

We spent the week between Jay Peak and Bolton Valley.

At Jay Peak, I moved between Aroma Coffee, the Tram Lodge, and the Stateside Lodge. I wish I could go back to the Tram Lodge one more time. I think that day will stick with me for a while, painting at nearly 4,000 feet and watching skiers make their way through the trees. It felt a little unreal.

At Bolton Valley, I painted from my hotel room overlooking the lifts, then ended the trip inside the James Moore Tavern. There’s a strange feeling at the end of something like that, wanting to stay just a little longer, but knowing it’s already over.

The collection is now available here, with a small number of originals, prints, and studies.

Here’s to many more adventures ahead.
