About Sprawl II:

Created for and exhibited in Curio Gallery & Supply's "Connecting the Dots: Community Exhibition" in October 2025, Sprawl II examines the tension between authentic self-expression and the societal pressure to diminish. Painted during a season of personal transition, the work represents a deliberate choice to reclaim space and refuse to play small. Arcade Fire's "Sprawl II" provided the defiant, repetitive soundtrack that fueled this rejection of conformity. As part of The Playlist Collection, the piece is deeply tied to a specific song, feeling, and moment-each track serving as a vital note in the emotional soundtrack of a life lived loudly and unapologetically.
