Live Painting For Events
An original work of art, created in the moment.
Art doesn't have to happen behind closed doors. I'm Sarah Hawkins, a Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based abstract expressionist artist, and I bring my studio into the world through live painting experiences.
Working instinctively with color, movement, music, and the energy of the people around me, I create original abstract paintings as an event unfolds. Guests are invited to watch the process, engage with the work, and experience a painting coming to life in real time.
No two paintings are alike, because no two experiences are alike.

A Little Art,
A Lot of Possibility
Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a large-scale celebration, live painting brings an unexpected creative element to the experience.
Corporate Events & Brand Activations
From holiday parties and product launches to conferences and company celebrations, live painting offers an engaging visual experience that brings people together.
Galas & Fundraisers
Bring an original artwork to life throughout your event. The finished piece can also be incorporated into a live or silent auction, creating an additional opportunity to support your organization's mission.
Weddings & Private Celebrations
A different kind of wedding painting. Rather than capturing a traditional portrait or scene, I create an abstract interpretation of the celebration, inspired by its emotion, atmosphere, and energy. A one-of-a-kind piece of art that holds the feeling of the day.
Hospitality & Cultural Events
From wineries and boutique hotels to festivals and community gatherings, live painting invites guests to experience art as it's being made.
The Art of Being Present
My process is rooted in spontaneity and experimentation. I arrive with a blank canvas and an open mind, allowing the experience to influence what happens next.
A painting might take shape over a few hours, with guests watching it evolve throughout the event. The finished work becomes a tangible reflection of a moment that can't be recreated.
What You Receive
Every event is different, but each live painting experience includes:
An original work of art. A one-of-a-kind abstract painting created live during your event, inspired by the energy, atmosphere, and experience.
A live creative experience. Guests can watch the painting unfold in real time, engage with the process, and experience art beyond the gallery walls.
All painting materials and setup. I bring the canvas, paints, tools, and everything needed to create the work on-site.
A personalized approach. We'll discuss your event, vision, and logistics ahead of time to make sure the experience feels like a natural part of your celebration.
A finished piece with a story. The completed artwork can become a lasting keepsake, a meaningful gift, or an auction item, depending on the event and our arrangement.
Live painting experiences are offered for a flat appearance fee, with pricing based on the event's duration, location, canvas size, and creative scope.
