This piece was created at the beginning of 2025, while listening to “All My Friends” by LCD Soundsystem.
New Year’s Eve has always been my favorite holiday - the rededication, the reckoning and purging of the old, and the collective hope of it all (however fleeting) is infectious. To think there are so many people around the world, at one particular moment or day, catapulting towards change and doing better, and living out loud, it’s romantic and chaotic, and something profound that I don’t know that I’ll ever have the words for.
